First showcase at STC show, Hajj 2025
The app on the tablet is an augmented reality (AR) interface displaying real-time network KPIs alongside a timeline of connectivity development by STC in Mecca during Hajj. It features a violet-themed transparent overlay, aligning dynamic graphs, charts, and the timeline with the scale model of Mecca in the background. Key metrics like bandwidth, latency, and packet loss are shown with live updates. The app anchors data and historical connectivity milestones to specific landmarks, such as the Kaaba, offering localized insights. With touch and gesture controls, users can zoom, rotate, and select landmarks for detailed metrics. A user density heatmap and throughput indicators visualize real-time analytics, while the timeline highlights STC’s efforts to enhance connectivity during Hajj. This tool bridges the physical and digital worlds, providing a comprehensive view of network performance and historical development.
It’s the world’s largest hologram table, measuring 3x2m, and it is mobile.
