The Hadj, also known as the pilgrimage to Mecca and one of the five holy pillars of Islam. Many believers dream to accomplish the pilgrimage at least once in their lifetime. It is oftentimes considered a challenging journey. In close partnership with STC Saudi-Arabia our Developers created the first VR Hadj experiences, combining high-quality VR and haptics hardware. And although nothing can substitute the real experience itself, our experience comes very close. Through the lenses of possibly the best VR-Glasses by Varjo our scenic environment becomes ultra-realistic. Adjusted lighting, exact representations of the square, Kaaba and surrounding mosques, as well as clean VR design create an immersive experience. Undoubtedly touching the holy cube with the help of the best haptic gloves in the world (Hapt-x) and being able to feel the structure of the stone by getting air pressure feedback from the gloves, stands out as a the key feature in this project.
